What is Femme Future Perfect?
award winning screenwriters Lauren Ferebee, Goldie Jones, and Jaime Kawamoto are joining forces to bring you Femme Future Perfect – an anthology podcast series that unapologetically dives head first into the horror, absurdity, and magic of the world as it is and as it might be.
All three of us are repped screenwriters with several projects in development, but we have all struggled to find our way past industry gatekeepers to tell the stories we’re truly passionate about. Sci-fi and horror are often spaces reserved for predominantly male voices. And there are a number of social issues that many shy away from exploring on screen.
So we decided to stop asking for permission to tell our stories and decided to create a space for ourselves.
Femme Future Perfect brings the stories we’re passionate about telling directly to you, our audience – without industry gatekeepers! This podcast anthology gives us a playground to explore any subject that sparks our imagination, which means you, our fellow lovers of weird worlds, get to travel those strange uncanny valleys with us.
