Femme Future Perfect Podcast Launch

Launching the marketing campaign for an anthology podcast

What is Femme Future Perfect?

FEMME FUTURE PERFECT is a scripted anthology podcast series with a trippy, twisted, often feminist take on sci-fi and horror that follows in the footsteps of series like BLACK MIRROR, THE TWILIGHT ZONE, and ELECTRIC DREAMS.

The podcast officially launches in January 2025 and has already generated significant buzz and completed a successful crowdfunding campaign.

Developing the Branding

Launching FEMME FUTURE PERFECT began with developing the visual language for the branding.  I wanted to tap into playful and powerful femme imagery that merged a retro vibe with a modern aesthetic.  And I wanted to visually draw in the fantastical, surreal, and sci-fi energy of the podcast.

And so the Femmes were born.

Episode Posters

Each episode was given its own unique poster for casting announcements and a teaser version with a quote built into the design which was also used in videos highlighting audio clips from the episode.

Results

  • The social media marketing campaign successfully raised $5550 on Seed & Spark in 30 days and was a featured project on the Seed & Spark homepage.
  • The campaign developed instant brand recognition for the podcast.
  • The campaign raised public awareness about the podcast and generated significant buzz across the entertainment industry.  Word of our project even reached directors Richard Linklater and Eli Roth.
  • The marketing campaign and Seed & Spark fundraiser served to not only raise our seed funding but also raised community engagement and was a spring board for the launch of our Patreon and our social media channels on Bluesky, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Apogee Aerial Dance Festival/Apex Aerial Dance Studio

Marketing an Aerial Dance Studio and Launching Seattle's first Aerial Dance Festival

Apex Aerial Arts

Apex Aerial Arts was a contemporary circus studio that ran from 2016-2019 in Seattle, which offered aerial dance classes, workshops, performances, and immersive events.

The classes, workshops, and performances almost always sold out, and Apex became the center of a thriving and enthusiastic circus community during its brief tenure.  Apex went on to found the Apogee Aerial Dance Festival.

We also booked circus performers for events ranging from small private parties to massive corporate events.  And we performed at community events such as Pride month events in the park as well as hosting fundraising events for non-profits and participating in the neighborhood art walks.

I ran the social media marketing and community outreach, developed the branding, and provided photography and videography services for every aspect of the business.

Apogee Aerial Dance Festival Stats:

  • 8 days
  • 30 Workshops
  • 2 Injury Prevention Talks
  • 1 Circus Panel Discussion
  • 1 Student Show
  • 1 Performance Showcase, featured as a recommended event by The Stranger
  • 1 successfully funded Kickstarter campaign, featured as a Kickstarter “Project We Love”
  • Sold out workshops with nearly 100 students from across the country
  • International Social Media reach to thousands of aerial enthusiasts across the globe

Hosted by Apex Aerial Arts, the festival was made possible through collaborations with Versatile Arts, 12th Ave Arts, Velocity Dance Center, Capitol Cider, Broadway Performance Hall, Acrobatic Conundrum, SANCA, and Pure Motion Physical Therapy.

The Campaign

Apogee Aerial Dance Festival began with a Kickstarter campaign that successfully raised over $7000 to jump start the festival and was featured as a “Project We Love” by the Kickstarter staff.

I ran the Kickstarter campaign and the social media outreach for the fundraiser as well as marketing the festival to aerialists across the world.

I developed partnerships with several other circus schools, dance studios, and other local businesses to host workshops, panel discussions, networking events, and performances.

Almost all of our workshops sold out.  And we had enthusiastic turn out for both our Student Show as well as our Professional Showcase highlighting world class aerialist from around the globe.  The Profession Showcase was featured in The Stranger as a staff recommended event.

Additionally I provided both videography and photography documentation of the entire festival.

Commercial Social Media Projects

Social Media Content I've created for commercial & corporate clients

Adidas Golden Boot

I designed and animated the announcement video for the Adidas x Beckham Golden Boot collab which was released on Youtube and on David Beckham’s Facebook page.

In the first two weeks it racked up 20,000 views on Youtube and 12,000+ likes, 1,000+ shares, and 500+ comments on Facebook.

It went on to get well over 100,000 views in the following weeks.

Creative Live

I used to lead the team that created the Facebook Ads for Creative Live’s workshops.

Creative Live is a virtual platform for workshops taught by high level professional photographers teaching camera and post processing techniques as well as how to work with clients.

Related Work:

In my work in commercial video production and motion graphics I have made possibly hundreds of videos and animations over the course of my career that went out to social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook,  Youtube and others for clients including Microsoft, Nordstrom, AT&T, Wizards of the Coast, and many more.

I also freelanced for a time with the Facebook Creative Studio creating animated Facebook ads for clients like Knixwear and Zillow.
